As you would imagine, any labelling that is involved within the chemical industry will need very high resistance to chemicals, heat, water and abrasion. It is very important that labels comply with GHS and/or BS5609 standards.
An example of a label within this industry would be a chemical drum label. These labels are used to communicate information relating to the drum’s contents. Due to the nature of the label, it must be clear with long-term legibility in mind, withstand the demands of harsh environments and provide excellent scuff, smudge and abrasion resistance. Labelling within this industry can also be challenging due to harsh production environments.
